In Goa it is spread over the Portuguese Civil Code , 1867, portuguese Code of Civil procedure, 1939, Family Laws- Marriage, Divorce, Childern, the Goa Code Of Civil Registration, 1912 and now also the Goa Succession, Special Notaries and Inventory Proceeding Act , 2012. Authoritative translation of the Civil Code, 1867 and Code of Civil Procedure, 1939, in terms of Article 348(3) of the Constitution have been carried out by this author in 2018 - 2019 at the request of Goa Government, under direction of the Honourable High Court in PIL 01 of 2017 and duly published in the Official Gazette.
